Bruce

Country childhood-raised. City adulthood-living.

I enjoy working out, eating healthy, and staying physically and mentally fit. Injuries, I'm sure we all had our share of stories, experiencing the unfortunate. I happen to face an injury that no athlete ever wants to go through. In 2005, I tore my Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in my right knee, playing in a very-well memorable college basketball game. This past injury drove me to have a strong mindset to be able to push not only myself, but others to get back to where we need to be. Although I was scared, thinking how I could ever recover through the excruciating pain.

But it's all about pushing yourself to break out of that mental stage, stop saying "I can't" before you even try. Instead, stop procrastinating and start doing so that you can begin. Believe in yourself with your heart and push yourself even when it hurts in order to get better results. At the end of the day, the only person that's stopping you from doing what you want to do is you! With a broad background in athletics, she played basketball all throughout her years of schooling, from Little League Sports of Lunenburg County through Undergrad College.

She was known for being a sprinter in Track & Field at CHS. Competed in: 100, 200, 400, 4 x 100 meter relay, long, triple, and high-jump. She played Varsity Basketball freshman year through her senior year. She set a scoring record of 1017 total points and was named MVP 2003-2004 and All-Conference Player of the Year. Coming from a small town, with only 350 students in the entire school (96 classmates c/o of 2004), it was considered a big deal for Women's Basketball.

When she relocated to the larger and much diverse area of Northern Virginia, she later learned that those points really wasn't a big deal after witnessing/facing more competition and talented athletes with higher scoring records. Growing older and wiser, she saw that there was really no future for her in basketball. Although, she continues to play it until this day, for fun and for the love of the game with a another vision, to help others with their health.

Now serving clients in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas.

"Stacy is laid back, yet motivated, easy to talk to and a great trainer. You can tell she really understands the physiology behind the exercises and why we're doing them, and that's really what I needed. Highly recommended!"

"Stacy is Awesome! I registered for the 10 session personal training package offered by LDYWDE Fitness "to just give it a try". However, by the 3rd session into it, I knew that I didn't have to look any further as I had found THE trainer for me. There are many things I could say, but one of the best things I like is the sessions are conducted in an extremely efficient manner. She really knows how to make the MOST of my workout time. I find that my body never has a chance to get "used to" any of the exercise routines; as a variety of exercise methods and new objectives are introduced weekly. The workouts are very challenging but definitely accomplish-able! When each session is over, I am always clear that I got my money's worth. I am very excited over the prospect of signing up again and again!"
